Our therapists work with patients, their family members and doctors, to maintain and improve their range of motion, movement, and functions related to joints and limbs.
Gait Training
Instruction in walking, with or without equipment usually after injuries (fractures) or orthopedic surgeries; also called "ambulation training." Gait training with or without appropriate assistive devices helps develop effective/efficient walking patterns during activities of daily living. Training also helps improve gait safety and prevents falls.
Therapeutic Exercises/Muscle re-education
Progressive Therapeutic exercises helps to improve endurance and functional strategies. Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist use manual techniques as well as mechanical tools for strength and endurance training.
Transfer Training
Repeated transfer using effective strategies helps prevent falls while getting out of bed, chairs, bath tubs, toilet, etc.

Michigan Home Healthcare's Occupation Therapists are certified by the State of Michigan. They assist patients to resume activities that are important to daily living, while working to improve functions related to the patient's hands and upper body.
Speech Therapists
Michigan Home Healthcare's Speech Language Pathologists works with patients to improve their verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Our pathologist also work with a patient who have swallowing disorders. Patients regain self-confidence in their ability to speak effectively and feel comfortable learning safe swallowing techniques.
